As an Associate Board Member of the Resource Conservation District of Greater San Diego County, Ofelia is committed to working with local organizations to promote the responsible management of natural resources. Our partnership with the Resource Conservation District ensures that our farming practices align with the best conservation strategies for our region.

We are proud to collaborate with the University of Arizona’s Agrivoltaics Team to explore the integration of solar energy and agriculture. This innovative approach helps us explore new ways of maximizing land use while simultaneously reducing environmental impact. The research we’re part of is paving the way for the future of sustainable farming practices.

Working closely with the University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources, we engage in research that promotes the sustainable management of natural resources. Our shared goal is to develop agricultural practices that help preserve the environment while maximizing productivity.

As part of our commitment to sustainable and organic farming, we collaborate with the University of California Organic Agriculture Institute to stay at the forefront of organic agave farming methods. Together, we work to create farming practices that respect the environment while ensuring the long-term viability of our crops.

In partnership with Point Blue Conservation Science, we focus on biodiversity conservation and sustainable land management practices. This collaboration ensures that our farm remains a safe haven for local wildlife while also preserving the health of the surrounding ecosystem.

As part of California’s 30×30 Initiative, we are committed to protecting 30% of California’s land and ocean by 2030. Through this initiative, we are actively involved in conservation efforts that align with our sustainable farming practices and help protect the future of California’s biodiversity.

We proudly participate in California Biodiversity Day, which focuses on raising awareness about the importance of preserving biodiversity in the state. Our work at The Agave Farm is deeply connected to the goal of protecting California’s diverse ecosystems through sustainable farming practices.

At The Agave Farm, we collaborate with the Xerces Society to support pollinator conservation and protect beneficial insects in Southern California. Through this partnership, we implement habitat restoration practices, promote sustainable land management, and contribute to research and outreach efforts that help safeguard pollinator populations and biodiversity.
